The Best Core Exercises you can start with Now

These are the Best core exercises that you can do without any equipment and you can start them NOW. You will be able to enjoy your favorite daily activities with more strength and energy and reduce your risk of injury. ( You might even find yourself walking with better posture :) )

Workout structure:

  • Complete the four exercises below as a circuit
  • Hold each exercise for 20 seconds
  • At the end of the circuit rest 1 minute
  • Complete 3 rounds of the circuit and when you are stronger increase the time to 40 seconds for each exercise

 

Exercises

1. Side plank

Start by lying on your side, legs straight, feet stacked. Lift your body up onto your forearm of the bottom arm, and place free arm alongside your hip and leg. Use abdominals to keep your hips lifted. Hold for the desired amount of time.  Keep breathing steady.

2. 45 degree hold

Lie on your back with your arms next to your body. Pull in your stomach and press your lower back into the floor. Raise your legs to 45 degrees and hold this position without letting the back arch off the floor.  Relax your shoulders and Breathe!

3. Side plank – other side

Perform the plank exercise on the other side

4. 1-leg glute hold

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.  Make sure you legs are hip width apart. Push down through your feet as you slowing lift your bottom up off the floor and raise the hips so that you form a straight line with your shoulders and knees.  Now lift one leg up without dropping the hips.  Hold for 10 seconds and change sides.  Keep breathing.

    My name is Anna and I often feel very insecure about my body. Whenever I am at the beach i feel to embarrassed to put on my bathing suit. All of the girls in my class are SUPER skinny, and i feel like I am a big loser next to them. You have to help me! I don’t want to feel like I am uglier than everybody.
